A service scorecard turns broad expectations into questions that an insurance adviser can answer. Readers considering Carroll Insurance can use one without assuming either excellent or poor performance in advance.

Ask for observable commitments
Useful service questions concern outputs, ownership and communication. Who handles a renewal? What information is needed before quoting? How will an unresolved policy question be documented? A scorecard should help both sides understand the engagement rather than function as a disguised accusation.
Separate activities the agency can promise from outcomes it cannot control. A commitment to return a call is different from a guarantee that an insurer will cover a loss. Record a proposed response standard only when the agency agrees to it, and identify the situations in which specialist or insurer input is required.
Questions to put in the file
- Who is the primary account contact and backup?
- What renewal information will be requested, and when?
- How are recommendations and client decisions recorded?
- How is a disputed interpretation escalated for a documented answer?
A practical worksheet
| Field | What to record |
|---|---|
| Communication | Named contact and escalation route |
| Renewal work | Agreed documents and review steps |
| Claim support | Stated assistance and boundaries |
Worked example
Use columns for request, agreed service, responsible person and evidence of completion. A renewal review might produce a comparison document, an updated exposure schedule and a list of unanswered questions. If a service has not been agreed, label it proposed. Do not later score the agency against a standard that existed only in your private notes.
What readers can take from this
The strongest scorecard measures documented commitments. It helps readers distinguish controllable service tasks from contractual decisions and external events.
Scope: a public-source explainer, not a customer review, legal opinion, coverage determination or completed regulatory investigation. Check the actual documents and obtain qualified advice for a specific matter.
Source and verification limits

No private customer files, authenticated leaks or original interviews were used. A public-search gap does not establish that a record does not exist.
